Custom Glass Patio Covers

Custom-fitted glass in clear, bronze or reflective, planned around your home so the rooms behind the cover keep their daylight.

Rain off the patio, light kept in the house

A Puget Sound patio spends a lot of the year under rain, and the usual fix, a solid roof, has a cost: it shades the rooms behind it. The kitchen or living room that looks out under the cover goes dim on the days you most want daylight.

Glass is the roof that doesn't make you choose. It keeps weather off the table and the furniture while light still reaches the windows and doors behind it, which is why Action Installations calls custom-fitted glass covers their specialty.

Measured at the estimate, planned around the house

The free estimate happens at your house. They measure the patio, plan the cover around your home's layout and style, and bring sample pieces so you can see the options in your hand before you decide.

Frames come black or light, as the photos here show, and the glass comes in three shades: clear, bronze and reflective. Teresa McCausland wrote that the sample pieces helped them decide which product to have installed.

What daily life under glass looks like

Upkeep is a rinse. Teresa says an easy rinse clears debris a couple of times a year, and her cover still looks good through the fall and spring pollen.

Furniture can stay out all year, so there's no tarp season and no hauling cushions to the garage. Most installs take one to two days.

Every install carries a lifetime guarantee, because the crew treats each patio as an install on their own home.

"It lets in beautiful filtered light during all seasons, keeps the patio dry, and looks good even during the fall and spring pollen season." Teresa McCausland, Google review.

Sample pieces come to the estimate, so you choose with the glass in your hand.

Clear, bronze or reflective

Glass isn’t the only roof worth comparing. Polycarbonate, aluminum and insulated covers suit rooms that want more shade, and a PERGOLUX louvered cover opens and closes. Glass pairs well with glass or cable rail so the view runs to the edge of the deck. The family behind the work is on the about page.

  • Clear

The plainest look and the most daylight to the rooms behind the cover.

  • Bronze

A warm tint that takes some of the edge off bright afternoons while the view stays open.

  • Reflective

A mirrored sheen that cuts glare and usually gives the patio more privacy from outside by day.
